4 x 18volt Dewalt Cordless Drill motors. These are mounted in custom made motor mounts which are welded to a 6mm solid Steel plate, 600mm in diameter which forms the main chassis.

RADIO CONTROL

Futaba 6 channel using 2 channels to operate the 'home made' speed control and left & right turning.

Classified at this time ,,, (Dave won't tell us). We can only divulge that they are powered by Makita 18volt Cordless drill motors.

WEIGHT

Heavy weight has a maximum of 80kg (approximately 12 stone.) Sir Chromalot weighed in at 76.5 kg after quickly removing his helicopter type sledge hammers.

SPEED

Approximately 5mph slow and 10mph fast. Unfortunately unable to afford a proper speed control we made one by gluing micro switches to the servos and they in turn switch on up to eight 70amp automotive relays via a spaghetti of cables, glue, bubble gum, and elastic bands.
